Much of what I know about life I learned from sports...

Things like these:
How to play through pain.
How to face your fears.
How to work hard even when you don't feel like it.
How to recognize those things that you're especially good at and those that are 'not so much'.
How to work as a team.
How to maintain an emphasis on personal excellence in the midst of a team.
How to win.
How to lose.
How to fit into a specific social strata.
How to socialize.
How to work hard at other things so that you can do the thing you love.
How to walk away when it's time.
How to discover a new passion.
All those things, and more, I learned from playing sports. I do realize it's almost a crime, with a show produced in an orange and black and white Province, to have a photo with blue and white on this here post, but that's the simple truth. I played outside linebacker for the U of T Varsity Blues Football team and we won the national championship (Vanier Cup) in 1993 and it was the highlight of my amateur sporting career.
On today's show, a bona fide pro athlete, will teach you his tricks and hopefully inspire you along the way. Of course, our man Mark Washington, former star defensive back for the B.C Lions and rookie coach for those self-same DB's will have much to say on the role of sports in shaping character.
The 'sporting life', today on TD.
