My favorite celebrity...
The Cos...
That's the man, other than my Dad, who's had the biggest influence on my life as a performer. Him and Stephen Spielberg.
I'll never forget the first time I heard a Bill Cosby comedy routine. It was in the late 70's and it was on vinyl. Yes, a record.
I listened to it over and over.
I had the chance to see him live in Toronto a couple years ago and he was as good in-person as he was on the earphones.
A true talent.
A real celebrity.
Someone who has made a unique and lasting contribution to popular culture.
Someone I'm not ashamed to call a hero.
A star worthy of the name.
Yes, a flawed man, like all of us. Seemingly complicated and reclusive as he's aged, but still and always--in my heart of hearts.
